Third Space have collaborated with Michael James Wong to bring you two exclusive 8 minute meditations.
But before you get started, make sure you are warm and sitting comfortably, with your spine tall and your chin tucked down slightly.
Meditation is a very habitual practice so it is best to set up dedicated space for your meditation. Somewhere calm, quiet, and not too cluttered. With that in mind it is also a good idea to establish a routine that works for you. Choose a time when your mind is calm. Ideally in the morning, before looking at your phone, computer, or talking to anyone. Having a familiar smell can also help you to focus during your meditation, try incense or a diffuser.
Lastly remember that your mind will wander and that’s ok. Allow them to pass by. Do not latch onto them. Acknowledge them and allow them to wash away.
Body awareness – Sync body and mind to relieve tension and discomfort.
Still the mind – Focus on your breath to calm and relax the mind.
